March 13, 2002 update

Hi everyone,

I am in Kyiv and it is a beautiful spring day with blue sky and warm temperatures. It is so much easier on this return trip knowing the airport, the people on my team helping with the adoption, and knowing the local area where I stayed last time.

Tomorrow (3/14) I have an appointment with the Adoption Center (AC). They remember my situation, so hopefully will try and expedite permission for me to go to the Doentsk region. I intend to go back to Schznoe and see Alexander and hopefully adopt him.

Today, Sergey is going to take me around Kyiv to see some of the beautiful cathedrals and museums. The history is amazing since Kyiv was the birthplace of Rus, the Russian culture and people.

Everything is great!
